India is not a Dharamshala: Supreme Court Rejects Sri Lanka's Plea For Refuge

The Supreme Court on Monday rejected a plea by a Sri Lankan Tamil national, Subaskaran, who was seeking refugee in India. The court observed that the India is not a Dharamshala that can entertain refugees from all over the world. this decision was made while listening Subaskaran's petition challenging a Madras high court orders directing him to leave India immediately after serving a seven year sentence under the unlawful activities under Prevention Act, 1967.
