Instead of India's Objection, IMF Approved $2.3 billion funding for Pakistan

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved the release of amount $2.2 billion financial package for Pakistan, while the IMF's decision was for stabilizing Pakistan's economy, but India is strongly against this funding and raised serious questions on Islamabad's poor track record with some past issues with IMFs loans and the potential misuses of International funding for cross border terrorism.
India Flags Misuse risks, raised questions on Pakistan's track records:
According to diplomatic sources, India is not supporting the decision of IMF and instead abstained from the vote. Indian officials has objectified and argued that, Pakistan is receiving IMF aid for decades, and still consistently failed to meet economic reform goals.
"Since 1989, Pakistan is receiving IMF's disbursements in 28 years " Said India's representatives, In additional saying, that four bailouts programs were initiated in last 5 to 6 years only, "had the previous program succeeded in stabilizing micro economic framework, Pakistan doesn't need any other bailout."
Concerns over military control in Pakistan economy:
India also highlighted the entrenched role of Pakistan's military in economy and decision making, warning that it could derail any genuine reform efforts. Pakistan army continues to dominate through economic entities and institution, even under a civilian led government.
According to a 2021 UN report, Indian official highlighted that the Pakistan military runs the biggest conglomerate in the country, and raised questions about accountability, transparency and beneficiaries of IMF funds.
Cross Border Tension A Core Concern:
India took strong exception to the possibility that IMF funds could be diverted to finance military operations and terrorism.
